Thank you for visiting my page. Let me start by introducing myself a little. I am a full time working mother of two who married her high school sweet heart. I craft, a LOT, just recently learned to sew, am currently learning to quilt. I write and draw and try to find ME time among the juggling of a job, a marriage and boymama hood.
I was inspired to start a blog by the recent PBS series, The Great American Read. It lists what they surveyed as the top 100 best novel of all time. I took the quiz on how many I had read and was shocked that it was only 27/100!! It occurred to me that I spend more time playing games on my phone then reading actual books. *GASP*
So, I have personally challenged myself to read ALL 100 books on the list: https://www.pbs.org/show/great-american-read/ . As I was writing about this on Facebook, people were asking me to review each book and which one I would choose next. So, I thought I would put all that right here.
Also, I’d like to chronicle our amazingly hectic life. Both my boys and my husband play baseball. We are heavily involved with a local cub scout pack and our church. We also love to travel, hike and tent camp.
And so it is my goal to create a page for each of those avenues as well. But most of all, I want this blog to hold me accountable to the challenge I made to myself to dive, head first, into literature that I probably would have never read prior.
